Donald Trump could potentially stand trial for high crimes within a week, that is if Dems proceed with transmitting the articles of impeachment to the Senate.
As reported earlier this week, Dems made clear that this week would be the week just that would happen. It is widely expected that the Senate will ignite the trial within days of formally receiving the articles — marking only the third time an American leader has ever stood trial.
