Triple shooting shocks Columbus Ohio barbershop, witness details what they saw

NORTH COLUMBUS, OHIO — A local barbershop is in the news today after what appears to be a triple shooting occurred within its premises. Roughly around 3:30 pm local time, police responded to reports of a triple shooting involving a man who entered a barbershop located off the corner of E. Dublin Granville Rd.

A male customer who was inside the barbershop at the time of the incident revealed to The Daily News what happened leading up to moments before gunfire broke out. According to the man, whom we have chosen not to identify, an African American male entered the location and “immediately began arguing/eventually punching another man whom had already been in the shoppe.”

The argument then appears to have been taken outside where shots were fired. A woman in a nearby vehicle managed to capture part of the scramble on video which was obtained by this newspaper.

That’s when the encounter turned deadly. “We all scrambled; we tried to hide, some tried to bolt out the front door.” the witness said in Whatsapp messages to our newsteam.

We’ve confirmed with additional local reports and police that the incident indeed occurred at the 161 Kings Barbershop in Beechcraft Center. The video footage below that you’re about to see is police going into a nearby PNC bank to assist victims in the aftermath. We’ve confirmed at least 3 people are injured.

Video footage sent to the Daily News shows police officers in front of a local PNC bank presumably searching the area and around the bank believed to be moments after the shooting occurred.
