LONDON — Big news today as the rest of the world heads into Thanksgiving. According to multiple reports, Queen Elizabeth II is preparing (“within the next year or so”) to formally abdicate the throne. The move would effectively make Prince Charles the King of England.
The Queen reportedly feels that around 95 years old, granted she’s still kicking, that she should retire so she can peacefully join her husband in their final years of life. With a staggering $530m net worth alone, I can think of a few things The Queen can do to enjoy the final moments of her life.
Although unconfirmed — many reports claim that the abdication will take place in the next 18 months.
