ATLANTA — Clark Atlanta University (yes, that same one that should’ve frankly shut its doors a while ago) is back in the headlines this weekend. According to social media, a young woman by the name of Alexis Crawford is dead after being murdered by her roommate’s boyfriend.

Police say that a Crawford, a then well-liked student had resided in a dorm with another female roommate who is suspected in having a part in her murder.  The Daily News can confirm that the roommates’ reported boyfriend Barron Brantley.   Multiple reports; social media posts, and at least two students (who asked not to be identified) corroborated the claims that Brantley had made numerous sexual advances towards Crawford.

Police say that Brantley has been connected and charge with the murder of Crawford after her reported body was discovered. Public records searches discovered that Brantley has a super-long criminal history which has raised questions as to why CAU never removed Crawford from her dorm after the initial report of unwanted advances.

The report contains charges of battery, family violence, cruelty to children, simply battery, theft, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, robbery.

Her roommate Jordyn Jones is believed to also be a suspect

 

As of this writing arrest warrants have been issued for Jordyn and her boyfriend Brantley.
