Breaking1

PG&E confirmed that the new shut off is expected to hit 36 counties across northern California.   This means that according to the company almost all of Northern California will be in the dark by midnight tonight.

This is an urgent warning to residents. Please stay safe. Gather what you need in the event you are ordered to evacuate.  This is not a drill. Although power being shut off is a wild inconvenience, your life literally depends on your evacuation.  The current wildfire estimated to be the largest so far this year and is spreading and likely will continue to do so according to the power company.  Preventative measures are being taken to protect you; your families; and everybody involved.

As of this writing, the Kinkade Fire is only about 5% consumed according to local fire departments tasked with containing the unbelievably big wildfire.   Part of the reason for the rise in these wildfires is the extreme winds in the area.
