Mom faked daughter’s terminal illness and then killed her: Police

DENVER, COLORADO —  Shocking news in Denver today as it has emerged that the mum of one Olivia Grant (who went viral in 2017 with her “dying” bucket list) died 20 August 2017 but for very different reasons than initially thought.  According to police reports,  Turner has now been arrested in connection to Grant ‘s death and charged with her subsequent neglect; abuse, and murder.

Cops say that Turner, 41, was indicted on Monday afternoon on 13 counts including the named above (and also charitable fraud) in relation to her daughter’s death.  Turner is also accused of swindling the   Medicaid system of more than $538,000, deceptively raising $22,270 from GoFundMe and $11,264 from Make-A-Wish Foundation. She also stands accused of defrauding a funeral home for their services (per a grand jury memo obtained by Buzzfeed).

The story takes an even wilder turn. According to Buzzfeed,  Turner initially began her scam in 2015 and is believed to have forced her daughter to then have numerous issues to make it appear as if she was sick.  At one point (and this is directly from the grand jury memo) Turner claimed that Grant had childhood cancer although an autopsy report proved this as false.
