This weekend Hunter College Theatre Company presents Clare Barron’s Dance Nation.
Directed by Muse Scholar, Cooperman Fellow, and president of Hunter College Theater Company, Annika Prager leads a cast of nine actors in a play that is about ambition, growing up, and how to find our souls in the heat of it all.
Clare Barron’s fierce and ambitious award-winning play follows a troupe of 13-year-old girls as they learn to unleash their power.
This is a 99% student ran production. With one exception of the necessary technical director due to college safety guidelines. Otherwise, the talent of the cast and crew shines in what is possible when passionate students come together to create a piece of art. This is theatrical art at its finest.
Show Times: October 17-19 at 7 PM; Doors at 6:30
Event Address: Loewe Theatre, 119 E 68th St, New York, NY 10065
