TEXAS — On Saturday, a mass shooter and his accomplice opened fire on innocent people in Odessa-Midland Texas injuring 21 and killing at least 5 more. The shooting is yet another tick on America’s belt in the unbelievable rise in gun violence in America over the course of the past year.
EDITORS CORRECTION: Hours after the publication of this report the number of people dead has risen to 7 [confirmed by authorities].
Around 3pm on Saturday, a Gold Honda was stopped by state officials as it drove through the Odessa-Midlands area during a routine traffic stop. As we learned from reports published Saturday, the traffic stop turned into an unbelievable nightmare after a white man in his 30’s opened fire on all officers involved in that stop.
His rampage would continue on for several more miles and injure 21 more people and slaughter 5 more. Officials are not releasing his exact motive, but it appears that he may have been a white nationalist. According to officials, the man then traveled towards a Cynergy nearby that had to be evacuated after it was discovered that he was headed for the entertainment center — a popular local destination.
During what would become of the reported routine traffic stop, the driver (whom we are refusing to publicly name) the driver opened fire on troopers behind his vehicle through his window shield. “He then fled to the nearby city of Odessa where he was going around shooting at people through his window in several shopping centres and the like” reads a statement from officials in that area.
At that point, per information obtained by this newspaper “the shooter stole a mail van nearby and proceeded to go even further towards Synergy movie theatre and proceeded to continue to open fire”. CNN confirms such after it was discovered that a local man who abruptly visited the movie theatre arrived just as the shooting occurred and managed to capture it on video.
3 confirmed victims remain in critical condition one of them is a child under the age of 2 according to local hospital officials who confirmed such to this newspaper and multiple others.
