TOP STORY: State of emergency declared in Hong Kong as full scale political crisis unfolds

HONG KONG — Shocking demonstrations once again have unfolded in Hong Kong, which in turn, have resulted in the city’s first ever red alert being issued. Government official Carrie Lam is currently on the lam and hiding behind government forces while trapped in the city’s HQ.

This is a political crisis like mankind has never seen before.

Beginning early this morning, protesters quite literally rammed their way through government controlled areas and continued to make way for Carrie Lam — an official who by all means has betrayed the people of Hong Kong.

The crisis comes as Carrie Lam has reportedly resumed her attempts to push through an extradition bill that could change Hong Kong forever. The bill would allow China to demand Hong Kongers be extradited to mainland China — and people aren’t having it.

Lam’s troubles began back in January after the city’s top decision making body decided to fork over papers to change their extradition law. The issue arose after a citizen who was a pregnant woman was killed in Taipei (her boyfriend would go on to return to HK alone).

But because no extradition treaty exists, the perceived killer was not extradited. Carrie Lam’s brink of disaster started by way of a letter from the woman’s parents according to people we spoke to China’s legislature.
