Back in 2013, there was a phrase I did not understand, Orange Is The New Black.
6 years later though many talented actresses, an outstanding writing team, and performers who bloom on screen. Orange Is The New Black is at its final season. Unlike other mega hitting shows, if you sense the shade the forecast is real, this season won’t leave us needing to get another around for answers, under-developed plots, or the sad-sad fate of the un-climax final season.
The final season was released on Netflix Friday 26th July 2019.
Oh OITNB has a future. According to Lionsgate TV Group chairman Kevin Beggs he stated
“We’re really proud of the long run that Orange Is the New Black had…It remains one of Netflix’s most-watched shows. We’re ending on a high note…We’re already in discussions and, when the timing is right, we’ll talk further with [writer] Jenji [Kohan] about a potential sequel.”
A very very very special shout out to my friend Danielle Brooks.
She is one of the hardest working women in show business. Peridot.
First, she is a Juilliard graduate. Already a mega special place in my heart. Secondly, she did the impossible filming the Netflix series AND starting in the Tony Award-winning musical The Color Purple. AT THE SAME TIME.
Fall of 2016 Brooks was running on 4 hours of sleep for an entire season but who knew, that is A-class workmanships. Definitely a page I took from Brooks book.
Congradutiatons are also in order for the Tony-nominated and Grammy award-winning actress. She is expecting her first child!
Thursday night at the premiere of the final season of OITNB in New York City Brooks showcased her baby bump in full glory, in a marvelous long-sleeve silver sequin gown by Christian Siriano paired with an embellished white tuxedo blazer, diamond earrings, and a stunning oversized hat. Looking like wealth.
Glammed Up Pimp-Mama you did that!
