There aren’t that many people in this world that often leave a genuine mark on others. For many of us, much of our lives are owed to Sultan H. Khane II for providing many of us the life-changing opportunity to work for this newspaper.
8 August marks yet another wild year that you’ve led us through. All 15 of us are delighted to remain a part of the wholesome family that you’ve created.
Through tragedy; personal struggles, abuse, and even multiple attempts to kill him Sultan has led each of us through remarkable times that have gone on to define the very lives in which we live today. Covering wars; the fallout from the NSA scandal, and multiple Presidents and world leaders, our careers have depended on a person will who stop at nothing to report an accurate story.
This is somebody who in 2017 found that the United States Government had lawfully decried Sultan H. Khane II an enemy of the state. This is someone who despite being actively sought by federal authorities over a top-secret file with his name on it, continues to risk his fortune and the company that has defined his entire life… for us.
We have long enjoyed a friendly workplace; internships that taught us well, a very socially friendly boss, but most of all we were blessed with a boss that was a human before a boss. In the 18 years we’ve been at this, we’ve only ever had two people leave our team (and they left on their own accord). We are one big happy family.
