Trump ‘s tax returns reveal damning (and obvious) sham

The New York Times appears to have obtained the documents nearly every news outlet in the world had been out to get: Donald Trump ‘s tax returns. The Times reports that for a period of 10 years Trump avoided more than $1.1B in taxes.

The report revealed that between 1985 and the mid-1990’s Trump evaded taxes by purposely misleading the IRS and incorrectly reporting losses. The news hasn’t quite surprised many, however, it is sure to result in probable criminal investigations once again.

Trump says people and developers  “were entitled to massive write offs and depreciation which would, if one was actively building, show losses and tax losses in almost all cases,” Trump tweeted early Wednesday.

As one could guess, the brouhaha has increased demands for other returns to be made public.
