DOJ to defy Congress once again: Reports

WASHINGTON — The privilege of ignoring Congress and defying direct orders might seem odd and like it shouldn’t happen, but for William Barr and the DOJ that is apparently the new norm. According to statements released by the Department of Justice, Barr may not “actually show up on Wednesday and Thursday” for the testimonies in which he is technically lawfully required to give.

The defying comes as disputes between the White House and House Democrats continues to escalate. The White House has denied more than half-a-dozen subpoenas, and, ultimately came to the conclusion that they will not comply with House orders.

Democrats meanwhile are still reportedly on the hook for their desire to see the full Mueller report with no redactions. Democrats still “firmly” believe that the report isn’t what Barr made it out to be. Reports allege that the DOJ and Barr himself are at odds “with the idea that Barr would be legally questioned by counsels on both sides of the political spectrum”.
