Public Health Warning Issued In Chicago

CHICAGO —   Public health officials in Chicago confirmed to The Daily News today that there is indeed an active public health warning.  Apparently earlier this week, an unidentified patient reportedly visited the airport on a number of occasions (it is believed they arrived in Chicago) that has a case of the measles.

According to officials, the patient arrived at Midway International Airport on concourse B. Officials only confirmed the fact that they discovered the patient was not vaccinated, they, would not confirm an identity.  They first arrived at the airport on 22 Feb.  Days later, they turned up at Northwestern hospital with severe illnesses.

Anyone who was at Northwestern Delnor Hospital at the following times:  Feb. 24 between 11:45am and 2:15pm, or in the hospital overall that day from 4pm to 6:15pm, as well as the next day from 10am to 1pm — should be on high alert.

Officials are also warning that anyone that was in Midway International Airport between 9pm and 12am on the day of the patient’s arrival should seek immediate medical attention if odd symptoms or illnesses are suddenly discovered.
