LONDON — Interesting developments in the eye-opening case of Shamima Begum. According to Begum’s family, they will take legal action against the Home Secretary ‘s office for deciding to remove Begum ‘s citizenship due to the fact that she left the U.K to join a terror cell.
For those that don’t know, or, don’t quite understand we’ve broken it down for you. In 2015, Begum fled her family’s East London home and managed to flee to the Middle East. At the time, she was hellbent on joining ISIL or ISIS. In fact, she has now reportedly given birth to one of the ISIS’s members baby while in the Middle East.
The Home Office is using the Nationalities Act in a bid to strip her of her citizenship to prevent her from coming back.
