Cyntoia Brown to be freed

TENNESSEE — Good news for supporters of sex-trafficking victim Cyntoia Brown. Brown who notoriously was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of a pimp when she was 16, is, set and poised to be released from prison. Brown is set to be commuted for the murder this summer, and, will be released from prison on 7 August.

Governor Haslam made the announcement on Tuesday, after, months of high profile comments from people like Kim Kardashian and more.

The state controversially refused to previously release her, despite, intense public outcry from far-and-wide.
