That’s the bet going around Tinsel Town with the duo’s impressive sweep of pretty much every major award nomination this season. With their impressive 4+ Grammy nominations; 5+ Golden Globe Nominations, it seems, like Cooper and Gaga (who is relatively new to the movie scene) make a cinematic duo actually worth watching.
Respectively, their mega-movie-hit A Star is Born is up for 5 Globes. Among them Best Actor for Cooper; Best Actress for Gaga, Best Picture, Best Drama, and Best song (think their hit-song Shallow). A Star Is Born is not only shaping up to be one of the most critically acclaimed movies of the year, but also, one of the biggest at the box-office.
According to ticket-site Fandango.com, A Star Is Born has raked in more than $370m in box office sales worldwide. On 10 December, it, was announced that the movie would take an IMAX run, presumably, adding a few more millions to their earning power.
