A regular day for one Hawaiian restaurant, and then, plates of rats

It’s probably a restaurant worst nightmare, but, for one  Hawaiian restaurant that nightmare became reality.   According to reports, uh, Teddy’s Bigger Burgers is considering legal action after two employees apparently decided to filet up some rat burgers on the premises of their most popular location.

Apparently, as the AP notes, a Snapchat video appeared online showing employees goofing around the stoves — and then proceeding to cook up rats on said stove.  Hawaiian officials confirmed that Health officials; restaurant officials, and law enforcement officials are investigating. The restaurant is also mulling legal action against the teen and at least two other  jokesters involved in the mess.

A complete sanitization of the property is underway, and, it will reopen  with entirely replaced utensils and cooking equipment sometime next week.

“We are horrified a former employee would create something like this trying to destroy our reputation without regard for our 20-plus years of quality and aloha,” says eatery president Richard Stula
