No indictments in the death of #SandraBland

bland1TEXAS — Troubling news in Texas this week as it has emerged that no charges will be brought against any one party in the hanging death of Sandra Bland. Bland, was found dead in her  Waller County Jail Cell in July just three days after having been allegedly arrested for kicking a police officer and “assaulting a public servant”.

According to the special prosecutor in the case, who perhaps isn’t aware of the circumstances surrounding suspicion of Bland’s death,  the grand jury presiding over the case “declined to charge anyone”. Mostly because they stood by the coroner’s ruling that Bland killed herself “out of despair that her family hadn’t bailed her out of jail fast enough’.

The jury will reportedly reconvene in January to “discuss further issues surrounding the death of Bland” those issues remain secret.  Officials declined to reveal what they were “citing that  jury proceedings of any kind are kept secret”.

Bland’s name is now famously synonomous with the “Black Lives Matter” movement whereas she is joined by Tamir Rice, Eric Harris, Walter Scott, Jonathan Ferrell, Sandra Bland, Samuel DuBose and Freddie Gray.. all of which have been killed by uniformed police officers in some manner or another in the United States in the past 5 years.
