It probably would be something Gianni Versace would’ve never wanted, but, it appears close to becoming a reality. According to several Italian newspapers, the Versace Group is prepping to be sold to the American fashion designer for roughly 2billion euros ($2.4billion).
The formal announcement is expected from both groups sometime this week. Versace dismissed the report with no comment when contacted by The Daily News.
The Versace Group has been eyeing a public listing for several years. Most recently, Versace’s Donatella Versace presented their upcoming presentations at Milan Fashion Week over the weekend.
