Because they are attempting to paint her as the loud mouth host, who, is struggling to keep her ratings up. In newly published reports, (see here), it is argued that execs want Megyn “out” because they feel she is overpowering; attempting to safeguard her contract, and refuses to stop tackling tough subjects like the #MeToo movement.
Kelly, uh, has been a vocal supporter of the #MeToo movement. In several episodes of her struggling show, Kelly, can be heard discussing the movement in both positive and negative lights.
Interestingly, The Daily Mail goes on to claim that uh…. sources from the network told their DailyMailTV site…
‘It’s like she’s the Manchurian candidate of NBC News – someone put inside the network to take it down from within.
‘Her strategy is the talk of 30 Rock. As soon as her show became a dumpster fire she actively positioned it as the only place on network television that it is ”MeToo” continually.
‘By aggressively reporting on every male accused of sexual misconduct at the network, it would make her much harder to fire.
‘If NBC did fire her, she’ll argue she was terminated for speaking up, when in fact she is an opportunist who latched on to an important movement when nothing else was working for her.
But NBC had this to say when contacted..
