Popular New York City Ballet hit with major sex based scandal

By sex-based scandal, uh, we mean photo scandal currently rippling through ballet.  According to reports and documents obtained by the Daily News,  police are investigating claims that two male dancers invaded the privacy of multiple female dancers.

This is where it gets murky.  Documents show that the two men allegedly   collected private and intimate photos of videos of female dancers dating back to the holidays of last year.  The ballet company did indeed confirmed to multiple outlets including The Daily News, that, the men have been identified as –Amar Ramasar and Zachary Catarazo, as well as a third dancer, Chase Finlay.

Docs and the company both say that the three men  engaged in “covert attempts to collect intimate photos and videos of women on and off the clock” and then “proceeded to disperse them among their friends and other men without permission of  the women involved”. One particular woman, Alexandra Waterbury, reportedly filed a lawsuit in a Manhattan courthouse alleging that the ballet company knew about it the entire time.

But  did nothing.  The Union company that represents the three men has already threatened to  file its own suit and arbitration against the ballet company.Based on all the information received from the company, the allegations relate entirely to non-work-related activity and do not rise to the level of ‘just cause’ termination,” the American Guild of Musical Artists said in a statement. “As AGMA would do for any of its members, we will soon be filing for arbitration to enforce our members’ employment rights.”
