I’m doing hard-time for sexual assault, but, I’m set to marry the woman I attacked

This is an op-ed by a Rykers Island prisoner  that we will only identify as “James”.    “James” was arrested and charged in 2015 for aggravated assault; rape,  and  sexually motivated robbery.   Now, three years later, he is reportedly set to marry the same woman in which he attacked.  This is his story.

On May 3 2015 everything seemed like a normal day.  I hadn’t had sex in a while, and that, had been on mind most of the afternoon.  I psychologically argued with myself, because, I was unsure whether or not I  would be able to fulfill the need granted to be my right to satisfy myself.

I had already worked long hours at the autobody shop I was working at,  and, it had become a place of desperate temptation. Young women  had been coming in all day, short-skirts, I could see their panties.  I could see the lining of their private area.

It was like god was sending me a message. I needed it. I needed a woman to  submit to me.

“Tracy”  walked in shortly before my shift ended.  Young; brunette,  ample cleavage, petite body.  I couldn’t help but approach her and introduce myself.  What a beauty she had been at that time.

I remember having followed her home in my car unannounced.   That night she stopped off in Central Park, where, I would later go on to knowingly and willingly sexually assault her.  She was everything I had ever wanted in a woman.

She fought me.  It kept me going. She tried to wiggle away, it, made me pin her down.   She was perfect.

Now three years later, “Tracy”, is expecting my first child and we are set to marry  later this year.   Unconventionally, I’ve found everything I need in a woman. I’m currently serving a 15 year prison sentence for my charges.
