Looks like Johnny Bobbitt Jr will get that end to his feel good story after all. According to reports, Bobbitt Jr will be “taken care of” thanks to GoFundMe themselves and their guarantee in their Terms of Service. CNN notes that the fundraising site will “entirely give the $400,000 (or whatever is owed).
CNN confirmed that Bobbitt will receive $20,000 to start, while, GoFundMe continues their own investigation into how Di’Amico and his wife abused the money that was raised — ultimately and apparently spending it all on themselves. As it was revealed in court documents earlier this week, uh, the couple ended up buying a fancy BMW; hand bags, and numerous other items.
The whole situation first happened because Kate (Di’Amico ‘s wife) had gotten stranded last October, where, Bobbitt gave her his last $20 so she could get gas to go home. A Jersey judge has now summoned the couple in person to answer questions.
Attempts to reach the couple’s lawyer were unsuccessful as he viciously declined to comment on this story.
