PHILLY — The judge presiding over Bill Cosby ‘s sexual assault trial, perhaps, can now breathe a sigh of relief now that it is officially over. Per the ruling, the disgraced comedian and former “T.V Dad” will spend the next 3-10 years in state prison for the violent and shocking rape of Andrea Costrand (who he previously settled with out of court for over $3.5m).
Cosby, 81, is legally blind and is expected to face pretty harsh conditions in prison. His lawyers had their attempts at house arrest rejected, whereas, prosecutors actually wanted 5-10 years in prison for the reported sexual assaults. More than 60 women actually accused Cosby of sex crimes, although, only Andrea’s came to be and resulted in criminal charges.
