Last night in New York City marked the annual Art Hearts Fashion kick-off. The same kick-off that usually brings together the digital realms largest name(s) in influencers; bloggers, social media heavyweights, and fresh faces in a usually dominated industry.
At the usual Angel O Center, Art Hearts, got off to a rocky start after several influencers and media professionals arrived to check in and get their seats for the big night. Flanked by our photographers, SHK, was among at least 9 major influencers and bloggers who were personally invited by Art Hearts but then told an entirely different story at the door.
The nightmare began after a fellow fashion blogger (who has asked to remain nameless to avoid any pushback online) attempted to check-in with her photographers only to be told that there were technical difficulties. Then followed the refusal by VIP check in to even look at a list to ensure arrivals were promptly met.
In case it couldn’t get any worse, (and this is when influencers began walking out) people were then told that without a seat they would be standing for the duration of the show.
Several of the influencers and bloggers are due back for Day 2, but, are instead likely appearing at Society Fashion Week per reps for at least four of them (along with SHK himself).
