It’s everybody’s biggest dream, to perhaps, pick up a million dollar win in the lottery. However, one unidentified Iraqi man didn’t quite probably believe he was going to walk away with $6.8m in lottery winnings after finally traveling to Oregon to pick them up.
The Oregonian picked up an interesting story of one “40 something Iraqi who traveled from Baghdad to Oregon” to pick up his winnings after playing through a private online service. The sale, completely legal, has astonished lottery officials whom “have never seen someone travel so far for lottery winnings”.
The man reportedly opted to take the payments over 25 years, which, amount to about $158,000 a year (175 million Iraqi Dinars a year).
