William Porter ‘s manslaughter trial is now in full swing

2015-12-06T121908Z_1_LYNXMPEBB5083_RTROPTP_2_USA-POLICE-BALTIMOREBALTIMORE —  The trial of William Porter, et the death of Freddie Gray, is officially and formally in its first full week. Now, prosecutors are knee-deep attempting to convince onlookers in the trial and the jury that Porter knew he was violating police protocol and policy when he failed to provide medical attention to Gray when he allegedly asked.

Prosecutors face an uphill battle from this point, considering, most are unsure whether or not they’ll successfully be able to convince others that Porter knew there was a “high risk”  of death or serious injury by not getting Gray proper medical attention at the time of his arrest in that vehicle.

Porter, is the first of six officers standing trial in Gray’s death. Others, however, face more hefty charges ranging from also manslaughter — to second degree murder.
