PORTLAND, OREGON — Right wing extremists, as part of Patriot Prayer, gathered in Portland for one of their notorious “Save the White” rallies over the weekend. But, their gathering, didn’t quite go down as planned as violence reportedly kicked off per local police.
Police say that members of the far-right nationalist group “viciously assaulted and threw multiple objects” at protesters and even at officers. Police confirmed that during the protests, the group, along with others had been asked to leave the area just before 2pm due to the growing violence.
The rally was organized by white-nationalist Joey Gibson.
