Per police, the children had been found inside this home in Farmington Missouri.

FARMINGTON, MISSOURI —  Terrifying news out of Missouri today, as,  local police confirmed to Daily News America that  two parents were arrested in what is being called “one of the strangest and most terrifying cases of child abuse ever”.   Police say Laura Cheatham and Daryl Head, both 38,   were arrested and charged with severe child neglect and abuse after their children were found literally (“taped and bound shut in wooden boxes”).

The children all below the age of 13, were recently adopted by the Cheatham family.  They had only been living with the family for just a few weeks.

The boxes were apparently nailed to the floor, with, just a vent of sorts attached to it.  With no access to proper bathrooms; windows, or anything of the nature — the poor children were subjected to the horrifying conditions.

Despite the fact that they had been living in the boxes for a few weeks, the children, appeared to be in good health after a neighbor caught wind and finally reported the couple to police.   Their bond has reportedly been set at $2m each.   The kids, however, are now in government care.
