How a U.S agreement allows Prince Andrew to walk free in royal sex scandal

LONDON — This week all the rage is none other than Prince Andrew, Duke of York ‘s salacious sex-scandal.  The scandal was first meagerly reported over the summer by The Mail Online, but, due to press laws and such the newspaper refused to further report on the claims made by Virginia Roberts and those involved in the Florida suit against the Royal Prince.

Now, there’s the scandal itself, and then there’s the fact a U.S agreement struck between Prince Andrew, Jeffrey Epstein, and the Buckingham Palace in 2008 allows Andrew to walk free. The agreement, first set into stone as a ‘non plea agreement’ by Epstein, set his ‘co conspirators’ free  from any future criminal charges after his having been jailed in 2008 for 18 months.

Breaking its silence again today,  The Buckingham Palace sent e-mailers to  newspapers across Britain urging them to remember the Press Standards and laws.  Daily News Online, was among the papers who received e-mailers from the Buckingham Palace as we have covered the Prince’s scandal in troves — without  blacking out any one piece of informatory information

The latest statement from The Buckingham Palace.

“The Duke did not want these claims to go uncontested,” the statement said.

“Commenting on a member of the royal family’s private life or commenting an ongoing legal case goes against what the palace would do typically.”

“The default position is no comment but these are extraordinary circumstances and given the allegations filed in court and coming from the Sunday papers, the decision was taken that it was time to issue a denial on the record,” the statement added.
