HARLEM, NEW YORK —. Big news in Harlem tonight as Sultan Khane himself nearly walked into an unarmed black man being gun-downed by police. Multiple photographs have made way to our newsrooms indicating that an armed police officer knowingly pulled a gun on an unarmed black man who posed absolutely no threat to anyone or himself.
The Daily News was on scene when it happened, and, spoke to at least 8 witnesses who confirmed that the man was simply pan-handling for $1.00 so he could get something to drink. The man who falsely called the cops, however, claimed to police that the man was “both a rapist and a robber” — when in fact he was neither.
The following photographs were captured by Sultan and several witnesses to the incident. Sultan walked onto the block as the yet-to-be-identified officer pulled his gun on the innocent unarmed man demanding he get down “or he would shoot”. Fearing for both his own life and the man involved, Sultan, was unable to get video footage from the beginning — but managed to get the video footage following the initial encounter.
“The grey-haired officer jumped out of his car screaming at the man who was minding his own business. The man wasn’t causing an issue, and, was simply going on about his evening by himself. By the time I had hit W119, the officer, jumped out of his vehicle with his gun loaded and aimed at the man. The man immediately complied getting on the ground, but, not before. The officer placed one of his knees on the man’s back. This was definitely a case of police brutality, caused, by a cause of white-racism”. Khane says about the incident.
To make matters worse, Khane and 7 others, managed to. Also see that the man waas in possession of an illegal knife. Instead of he being arrested for such and the fact he falsely called the police, the officers in question, drove him home in a squad car.
We were able to confirm that all of the officers pictured are from the 28th police precinct in Harlem New York City as their squad car(s) were also marked with that same precinct. One female officer, ehum, can even be seen giggling in complete laughter while on-call on the scene.
