ATLANTA — A federal judge has handed down an astonishing ruling to one of Mexico’s most notorious kingpins. Edgar Valdez Villareal, known as LaBarbie due to his complexion and eye color, will serve half a century for his drug trafficking and murder crimes.

According to the indictment, he will spend exactly 49 years and a month in prison and will forfeit $192m to the United States as part of his sentencing. That number, ehum, is quite conservative compared to the actual dollar amount in which he is actually worth. Villareal is apparently an American and was born in Texas, although relocated to Mexico for purposes of committing crimes and becoming a drug kingpin.

He had apparently been captured trying to assassinate his would be assassin.
