Robert Mueller ‘s Russian investigation is getting deeper by the day. Almost daily, the investigation takes turns deeper than the Grand Canyon, and, nobody quite ever expects them. This time, per reports, it has emerged that Mueller (“for some time”) has been exploring the idea of subpoenaing the President.
Reuters reported on Monday that the meeting happened in March, ehum, just two weeks before Mr. Dowd stepped down as a chief member of Trump ‘s private legal team. Now, the news appears to paint an even darker picture for the bewildering President who has a controversial relationship with the truth.
During the reported meeting, Mr. Dowd told federal investigators (“quote”) that “You are messing with the work of the President of the United States” effectively those were his last reported words. Two weeks later, he, announced that he would no longer be working for Trump or his legal team. At the time, no particular reason was cited as for why he abruptly stepped down.
The news had first been reported through heavily vetted sources at the Washington Post, who, found out through four sources of the thought-of subpoena in which would force the President into questioning whether he likes it or not.
- Trump seized all records from private civilian doctor, White House later said it violated no policy in ordering the overnight raids on doctors office.
- Trump now appears to think that he is not obligated to speak to the special counsel.
- A list of questions mainly involving the allegation of obstruction of justice surfaced online on Tuesday.
- The questions were quickly denounced by Trump as an illegal leak of classified information.
- Trump and Trump campaign still maintain that they’ve done nothing wrong.
- Mueller is very interested in the firing of Michael Flynn per the list of questions
But, perhaps it isn’t the worst thing to happen to Trump as of late. Trump ‘s former personal attorney Michael Cohen, indeed, is in deep trouble himself. Lately, Cohen, has found himself engulfed in multiple lawsuits (alike Trump, who, was sued again for defamation by Stormy Daniels). Of those lawsuits, several of them are from Stormy Daniels and her lawyer Michael — both of which — claim that Cohen and the President lied on social media about that now infamous $130,000 payment to Stormy herself.
A payment, ehum, that had indeed came back to haunt Cohen when in fact he did it secretly through an offshore like business he created that was for nothing more than the payment. But, last week, a judge reportedly granted Cohen a 90-day stay in the lawsuit brought on by Daniels’ pending the outcome of his actual federal proceedings currently against him. In those, Cohen stands accused of multiple federal crimes (and may be looking at more than 25 years in federal prison).
Alike Dowd, he, also attempted to distance himself from the President but didn’t quite achieve such. Interesting enough, the news comes after it was also revealed that the White House apparently (“and secretly”) ordered raids on Trump ‘s former doctor. In those raids, all of the Presidents’ medical records were seized — records that were pertinent to identifying (if any) medical issues that may have made Trump unfit to remain President.
