New York — Many of the homes and offices owned by Michael Cohen. are now under FBI control. According to reports, the Department of Justice ordered a raid on Michael Cohen’s private home and law office Tuesday in regards to an undisclosed investigation. While the investigation hasn’t yet been confirmed, it, has been confirmed that Cohen is under investigation for campaign finance violation laws and bank fraud laws.
Attorneys for the Department of Justice confirmed to multiple outlets that computers; files, data, and more were all seized from the residences and offices of Cohen. Trump, meanwhile, has called the move “draconian” and a “threat to American life”.
The search warrant and such reportedly came directly from Robert S Mueller III, the special investigator and counsel in the case against Russia and its meddling into the 2016 Presidential elections. Also, per reports, a Park Avenue hotel room largely rented by Cohen was seized and raided in the early morning hours of Tuesday.
