Aly Raisman lodges formal lawsuit against Olympics Organisation

The United States Gymnastics Organisation may soon see a fate similar to that of the Weinstein Company.  According to lawsuit documents filed Wednesday in federal court,  Raisman claims that the organisation and its partners “knowingly knew of Nassar’s troubling behavior and did nothing about it, and,  still didn’t do anything about it even after gaining tangible knowledge of such behavior”.

This is where it gets interesting.

Raisman further claims that the organisation  failed to follow proper protocols, and,  further failed to report the  accusations and troubling behavior to the University of Michigan (where Nassar actually worked on the side).   In case it couldn’t get anymore heartbreaking, it does.

Nassar spent a total of 30 years with the organisation and the University of Michigan, before, finally being fired in 2015.  In 2015,   Raisman noted in her documents that that was shortly after the abuse had first began (there is also a male involved as of this point).    It reportedly took more than a dozen complaints, and, a failed attempt to report the abuse to the University that sent Raisman overboard.
