Here are the winners from the British Oscars

  • Supporting Actor: Sam Rockwell, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri
  • Supporting Actress: Allison Janney, I, Tonya
  • Rising Star: Daniel Kaluuyat
  • Original Screenplay: Martin McDonagh, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri
  • Adapted Screenplay: James Ivory, Call Me By Your Name
  • Film Not in the English Language: The Handmaiden

These are just some of the films that took home top honors during last night’s BAFTA’s in London. According to  the organisation,   Three Billboards Outside Ebbing took home a large number of the honors.  That film, particularly,   was about the  shocking climate of sexual assault and the problems women face within it.
