And the latest developments within Zimbabwe’s descending into chaos. Earlier this week, Mugabe, formally resigned after the military took total control of the country and completed such a task. Mugabe, ruled Zimbabwe with an iron fist for more than 37 years — until those he ruled over finally had had enough.
He, was largely seen as a threat to both Zimbabwean and international Democracy. The Daily News has learned through the military that he will be “granted full immunity” from prosecution, and, will receive an extensively health retirement package from the government. That package will include health insurance; housing, transportation allowances, and more.
Furthermore, he will reportedly get some form of security as the military has “promised that he and his family will remain safe if they choose to stay in Zimbabwe until Mugabe dies’.
