Former US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is pictured.

Here’s something you may not see much of on Fox News or the Fox Network, an anchor, actually telling the truth.   Mr. Smith appeared on his show Wednesday to discuss the highly-exaggerated Uranium deal that Republicans claim Hillary Clinton was responsible for.

As noted by Smith,    it was never actually proven that Clinton ever took  anything from Russia let alone financial means.  The controversy came about again after Attorney General Jeff Sessions  was questioned in Washington, as, to why a special counsel hadn’t been appointed to investigated the falsified Uranium One deal (at least Clinton’s alleged part in it).

Republicans and conservatives across the board have flat out told several misleading things about the Uranium One deal.

Let’s discuss.

The deal originated within 9 different  departments across the U.S government, not, exactly just the State Department.  Conservatives have falsely claimed that the approval of the deal came directly from Hillary Clinton, it, in fact did not.

As pointed out by Mr. Smith,  Clinton,  at least from what is known h didn’t have any direct approval of the deal.  Uranium One is actually a plan of sorts in  Canada that owns mining rights in the U.S.  In 2010,   Russian agency Rosatom bought a controlling interest in the company. At the time it was reportedly valued at around 20%  for controlling interests, now-a-days, it’s only actually at about 10%. Alike before,  it,   was never proven on a literal or governmental level that Clinton ever had anything to do with it.

Trump himself has claimed that Clinton approved and accepted the deal, and,  even “took $145m in financial means from Rosatom and its affiliates to approve the buy of the Canadian company”.   Although this has never actually been proven, and, alike before,  9 different departments  approved the deal. Clinton whether directly herself or her own office,   did not,   approve or deny the deal themselves.

The questioning of Jeff Sessions

During a hearing this week, Jeff Sessions openly declared the reasoning behind his failure to procure a special counsel into the Uranium One situation. “We would need a factual basis to start such an investigation”.   This is from the Department of Justice folks, the, most powerful law enforcement agency in America.
