Harvey Weinstein, CBE, may soon just be Harvey Weinstein. According to No. 10, the Honours and Forfeiture Committee may soon decide on whether or not they will take back Weinstein’s CBE Honour. While No. 10 itself doesn’t have the authority to do so, they, hope that the committee will take the necessary steps to do such.
Anyone who comes forward to report these kind of allegations should be praised for their courage.
“The independent Honours Forfeiture Committee considers cases where the honours system has been brought into disrepute.
“Their discussions are confidential. It is right that we let them get on with their work.” reads a statement from the Prime Minister’s office.
