Body count in massive Hurricane Harvey grows

And is growing at such an alarming rate, that, city officials have reportedly asked the state for further assistance in storage of dead bodies.   Morgue officials in Houston and surrounding areas are  having a tough time trying to land space for more bodies, as, they’ve already almost reached capacity.

Most morgues and such apparently only carry up to 200 bodies, and, right now, they’re currently up to 175 bodies.  Tricia Bentley, spokesperson for the Institute of Forensic Sciences confirmed that her office has asked the state for more assistance and a refrigerator like tractor to aid in the storage of bodies pending further research and autopsies.

Officials would not confirm if the additional 10 bodies that they turned up Thursday were indeed Harvey related.  They did, however, say that even non Harvey related bodies are having a tough time being stored.
