The U.S has officially banned transgender people from the military

WASHINGTON —  While he’s away at the Presidential retreat in Maryland,  Donald Trump,  has signed the memo that now lawfully bans transgender people from being allowed into the military.  According to The Hill,  Trump signed the memo Friday before departing with the First Family for Maryland. The memo directs an official and the beginning of the formal ban on transgender people enlisting in the military.

The memo, per the Hill, also bans the Pentagon from paying for any new gender change surgeries.  Although, they still will be able to pay for the ones that are currently already under way.   Meanwhile, The First Family remains at the Presidential retreat in Maryland.
