Websites are buzzing this weekend amid reports that the iconic show is being turned into a movie. While Abbey ended two years ago, suddenly at that, there have been no shortage of movie rumors. Sources told several websites Friday, that, scripts and budget documents have surfaced in Hollywood for the movie.
Meanwhile, Dame Maggie Smith isn’t too thrilled at the idea of an Abbey movie. Sources say that Smith feels the show “ran its course” and should be left well enough alone.
