Is this what caused a rare eye cancer in NYC?

One probably doesn’t know what vitreoretinal lymphoma is, but, then there’s the fact that four people between 2010 and 2013 apparently were of those that did know what it is. According to researchers, they’ve now determined what caused the mysterious outbreak of the eye cancer that left NYC baffled many years ago.

The search led researchers to the other side of the world, specifically, to the site of the world’s biggest and most notorious disaster.   The Chernobyl disaster occurred in 1986 in the Ukraine and resulted in lethal amounts of radiation being dumped into the atmosphere.

At the time of the problem,  each of these four people lived around the Ukraine; (Poland), and nearby areas.   Researchers are still reportedly continuing to conduct research into the exact cause, but according to Live Science they’re pretty sure Chernobyl is to blame.
