Groundbreaking drug to treat MS is on its way to the general public

Thanks to scientists and medical professionals tirelessly who worked to get the cumbersome drug Ocrevo approved.  According to officials,  Ocrevo had officially gained approval from the FDA to hit the market.

Ocrevo is now the first actual drug meant to treat the more serious forms of MS.  MS, for those that don’t know, is a serious disease that eventually leads to loss of cognitive ability and later paralysis.

The drug is being billed as an intravenous infusion, which, is unheard of for a drug of its kind.

The cost? $65,000 a year.
