Yes, its true. In a joint program across New York City, NYC has finally tackled one of its larger annoyances: the loss of cell service going underground from city to city in NYC.  The announcement came a year ahead of schedule now making cell phone service active in all train stations in New York City (minus about four that are still under renovation).

The announcement came from Gov. Andrew Cuomo who has pretty much been on top of things in NYC lately, making sure, that NYC’ers are set up for the best of their lives.   But this now means that those hairbrained excuses as to why you didn’t respond to your bosss’s text message, er, might have to have some refreshing.

NYC officials say that some 150 stations from Manhattan to the Bronx and deep into Queens will now have cell phone service entirely active underground.
