Ahead of what many are calling the modern Hitler regime in America, Bowe Bergdahl (yes that guy that deserted his camp in Afghanistan and was eventually held hostage for five years…) is seeking a pardon.
Lawyers for the troubled soldier have apparently confirmed to numerous outlets the existence of a letter to US President Barack Obama. The letter explicitly asks Obama for a pre- ready pardon before the inauguration of Donald Trump in January.
Lawyers are arguing that Bowe wouldn’t receive a fair trial under Trump’s dictatorship. His trial for abandonment charges is set to begin next April.
Bowe, was notably attacked by Trump on the campaign trail who repeatedly cited the Army soldier as a “traitor” although it was never quite clear why he walked off his base in Afghanistan.
