Trump spokesperson “Muslim registry a precedent”

In what may just have been one of the best television confrontations this week, American television host Megyn Kelly found herself in the midst of an exchange with a Trump spokesperson.

According to PAC spokesperson Car Higbie,  the Trump administration is reportedly determining whether or not a registry of all Muslims in America may be appropriate.

The suggestion and comment drew much ire from Kelly, who, suggested that Higbie had indicated that Trump has intentions of locking Muslims up in America in prison camps. Prison camps similar to those that occurred in America when Japanese Americans were locked up following the attack on Pearl Harbour.

Higbie took his comments a step further when he praised Franklin D Roosevelt who knowingly imprisoned 110,000 Japanese Americans during the Harbour attacks.

‘We’ve done it based on race, we’ve done it based on religion, we’ve done it based on region,’ Higbie responded, arguing that people from outside America were not protected by the Constitution.

‘We’ve done it with Iran back — back a while ago. We did it during World War II with Japanese, which, call it what you will.’
