But nobody’s quite sure if they’d blow up or not. Samsung announced this week that they’ve planned to buy $8billion worth of a smart car related company to bring their own version of smart cars into reality. 

The vehicle of tomorrow will be transformed by smart technology and connectivity in the same way that simple feature phones have become sophisticated smart devices over the past decade,” a Samsung exec said in a release, per the New York Times.

The announcement comes on the heels of Samsung struggling to come back from their popular phones exploding on users. No, literally. Samsung recently issued a massive recall on their newest phones, while, most carriers in the US have stopped selling them entirely.
