Hillary Clinton failed to materialise herself as the first female commander-in-chief in America, but, that doesn’t mean the race for unity is over. During her speech in New York, Clinton, bid farewell to a heartfelt campaign.

“Donald Trump is going to be our president. We owe him an open mind and the chance to lead.”

“We have seen that our nation is more deeply divided than we thought, but I still believe in America and I always will. And if you do, then we must accept this result.”

“This is painful, and it will be for a long time.”

“This loss hurts, but, please, never stop believing that fighting for what’s right is worth it,” she said, referring to her young supporters.

“Our constitutional democracy enshrines the peaceful transfer of power. We don’t just respect that. We cherish it. It also enshrines the rule of law; the principle we are all equal in rights and dignity; freedom of worship and expression. We respect and cherish these values, too, and we must defend them.”

“I know we haven’t shattered that highest and hardest glass ceiling, but someday, someone will.”

“My friends, let us have faith in each other, let us not grow weary and lose heart, for there are more seasons to come and there is more work to do.”
